Crystal Palce are reportedly unwilling to listen to any further offers for Wilfried Zaha as the transfer deadline draws ever closer (Zaha 1/2 Everton – Club After Summer Transfer Window).
There has been much speculation surrounding Zaha’s future this summer after the forward admitted he was open to leaving Selhurst Park.
Arsenal were initially keen on the Ivory Coast international but they have since singed Nicolas Pepe and no longer appear interested.
Everton have emerged as contenders to snap up the ex-Manchester United forward over the past few weeks and they are trying desperately to complete a deal before Thursday’s 5pm deadline.
The latest reports claim Everton have offered £70million plus James McCarthy and Cenk Tosun in a last-ditch attempt to get their man.
But it is understood that Palace have rejected that bid due to the fact that they will not have enough time to find an adequate replacement for their star player.
The Toffees have employed a scatter-gun approach to the summer window and have also made a £30million bid for Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi.
It is not clear if they will completely give up on their pursuit of Zaha after Palace’s latest rejection and may look to make one final bid over the next 24 hours.
Everton have also approached Manchester United to try and sign defender Chris Smalling on-loan for 2019-20 but the Red Devils have turned down that bid (Everton 7/2 Top 6 Finish).
Meanwhile, the Merseysiders have reportedly ended their interest in Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure after the Hornets rejected their latest offer of £36.7million.
