Luis Ortiz has been offered a huge pay day to fight Anthony Joshua although promoter Eddie Hearn feesl the fight wouldn’t last three rounds.

Promoter Eddie Hearn believes Anthony Joshua would have no issues in beating Luis Ortiz but insists they won’t meet on June 1 (Match Betting – Joshua 1/8, draw 33/1, Ortiz 5/1).

The IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion is seeking a new opponent for his American debut at Madison Square Garden.

Joshua was scheduled to face Jarrell Miller but the American has been pulled from the fight after failing three pre-fight drug tests.

The likes of Dillian Whyte (Match Betting – Joshua 2/9, draw 33/1, Whyte 3/1), Manuel Charr, Joe Joyce and Michael Hunter have all been suggested as potential opponents, along with Ortiz.

WBC heavyweight Deontay Wilder doesn’t appear interested in stepping in for a unification bout and Hearn is currently assessing their options.

Hearn has no concerns about Joshua’s ability to defeat any challenger and believes the Briton would make easy work of Ortiz, who has been pushing for a bout with Wilder.

He claims that a lucrative offer was sent to Ortiz, something which is disputed by the Cuban’s team, and Hearn has vowed to reveal all next week.

“I will tell you next week what Luis Ortiz was offered for that fight, and I better hope that for Luis Ortiz’s sake, and for his kids’ sake and their kids’ sake – that it was as much money that they are going to get for this supposed Deontay Wilder fight,” Hearn told Seconds Out.

“Listen, Anthony Joshua would destroy Luis Ortiz, three rounds, no problem.

“And if Ortiz wants it, it can happen after June 1st.”

Odds subject to change.
