Watford boss Javi Gracia has told his players to forget about the FA Cup final and focus on the race for Europe when they entertain Arsenal this evening (Match Betting – Watford 11/5, Draw 11/4, Arsenal 5/4).
The Hornets can secure Europa League football by defeating Manchester City at Wembley, but, if they lose, they would need a seventh-place finish in the Premier League to make sure.
Watford have been handed an added boost as Wolves, Everton and Leicester all lost at the weekend, meaning they can leapfrog all three with a win tonight.
“Our final is against Arsenal – not in May,” Gracia said. “This is the mentality we will keep and then at the end we will see the position and the points.
“But in this moment, our final is on Monday. My feeling is that the players are really focused on the next game.
“In this moment, I prefer to keep the same attitude we had during all the season, trying to give importance to the next game.”
FA Cup semi-final hero Gerard Deulofeu is fit after coming off against Wolves at Wembley following his two goals with an ankle injury, and is expected to start.
Jose Holebas is out with a hamstring issue though, while Tom Cleverley remains sidelined and Domingos Quina has a shoulder problem.
Arsenal are also chasing European football as they look to secure a place in the top four and Champions League football (Arsenal 4/5 for top-four finish)
The Gunners will be without the suspended Sokratis Papastathopoulos for the trip after he was shown a 10th booking of the campaign in the defeat to Everton last weekend and has picked up a two-game ban as a result (Arsenal 11/4 to keep a clean sheet).
The Gunners will be hopeful Granit Xhaka has recovered from a groin injury and is fit enough to be involved.
Odds subject to change.
