It’s that time of the week again! Festive footie comes at us thick and fast, and forget your turkey butties (for the time being at least), we’ve got another feast for you to sink your teeth into!

We hit the post (again) last week with two-out-of-three, but we’ll soldier on in our bid to land another treble!

Firstly, we’re heading to the Falmer Stadium where Brighton host Everton. Chris Hughton’s side have been decent at home this season with their most recent result being a respectable 1-1 draw with Arsenal.

Everton come into this game in mixed form. After being hit for six against Spurs, the Toffees responded with a 5-1 rout of Burnley. Marco Silva hinted in his pre-match press conference that a back three may be the way to go again after using the formation against Sean Dyche’s side.

Despite Everton’s result on Boxing Day, we actually fancy (whisper it) Brighton to nick all three points here! We’re going for a Brighton win at 5/2.

Next, we turn our attention to Craven Cottage, where Fulham face Huddersfield Town. This is a crunch tie at the bottom of the table, a true relegation six-pointer.

Fulham moved off the bottom spot with a 1-1 draw against Wolves on Boxing Day, and now Huddersfield occupy the foot of the table. The Terriers have lost their last five games and we think they’ll lose again on their travels. We fancy a Fulham win at evens.

Finally, we go to Anfield in what is undoubtedly the game of the weekend. Liverpool take on Arsenal in what could be a big match in terms of the title race. Manchester City fans will for sure be cheering on Arsenal and hoping that Unai Emery’s men can do them a favour, especially since Liverpool travel to the Etihad five days later.

Arsenal’s defeat to Southampton and lacklustre draw to Brighton both point towards a Liverpool win, however, and if Jurgen Klopp’s side blow the Gunners away, it would be another significant statement of intent.

The Spaniard realises that this is a big challenge for Arsenal, but thinks it will be a good test for his side. He’s not wrong, as Liverpool are in stellar form. They still remain unbeaten and they currently sit six points clear at the top of the table.

This fixture usually provides goals and, with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the pitch, we’re expecting to see a few more this time around. We’re going for Liverpool to win at 9/20.

Summary

Brighton to beat Everton

Fulham to beat Huddersfield

Liverpool to beat Arsenal
