It’s Lindy Hop Week!

Those lovely people at Aunty Beeb have provided the info for this week’s Strictly programme, and we know exactly who’s doing what etc on Saturday night.

And don’t forget that this week we’ve the added bonus of seeing the celebs in full cry TWICE!

It’s the lindyhopathon (can that really be a word?), a jazz/street/swing dance named after that intrepid aviator Charles ‘Lucky Lindy’ Lindbergh, who was a huge figure at the time of its initial late 1920’s heyday.

I’m guessing our intrepid stars will hop their little hearts out and wait for a tap on the shoulder to down sequins in turn, leaving one to gather maximum points.

Here’s what Tess and Claudia will be gloriously showcasing, as per …..

Ashley and Pasha – Samba to ‘Hot Hot Hot’ by Arrow

Charles and Karen – Tango to ‘Eleanor Rigby’ by Big Country (originally by The Beatles)

Faye and Giovanni – Waltz to ‘See The Day’ by Dee C. Lee

Graeme and Oti  Quickstep to ‘Sing Sing Sing’ by The Andrews Sisters

Joe and Dianne perform a Couples’ Choice (Street and Commercial) dance to ‘Jump Around’ by House of Pain

Lauren and AJ Salsa to ‘Familiar’ by Liam Payne and J Balvin

Stacey and Kevin Paso Doble to ‘Malaguena’ by Brian Setzer

Ahead of Week 10 Joe has sneaked ahead in the betting with Betfred @ 13/8, followed by Stacey at 7/4, 6/1 Ashley, and 10’s bar.

Should be an absolute cracker – and the old crystal glitter ball says Graeme’s hugely entertaining spell from the Dave Arch End might just be coming to an end.

We shall see ……
