Oscar Bossano has always been something of a globe-trotter.
The DIY independent traveller admits he loves anywhere hot.
But now after becoming the biggest winner of the year so far on Betfred bingo, the 47-year-old from Southampton is able to fulfil his dream and explore the ancient Inca settlement of Machu Picchu in Peru.
He’s well able to splash out on his backpack trip to one of the seven wonders of the world after winning £42,495 from an £8 stake.
Information technology support worker Oscar said: “I have played bingo online at Betfred regularly and although have won a few times nothing at all like this amount. I was playing during the early hours on Sunday and got the community jackpot which is fantastic. Some friends came round to celebrate later in the day but it really hasn’t sunk in yet.
“I do enjoy my holidays and will be going to Spain now with friends and then maybe the Caribbean. I really do fancy the Peru and seeing Machu Picchu …that’s somewhere I have really wanted to go and I can now! Travelling there has always been an ambition of mine.”
Oscar won the 45-ball community jackpot which means he picked up £42,495 – half the jackpot. Under the rules of the popular game the other half is shared out by other punters in the “room” – and there were 13 other Betfred bingo fans playing at the time so they’re all winners too!
