Antonio Conte hopes Chelsea can get back to winning ways at Hull.
Chelsea manager Conte wants to see a big improvement from his side against the Tigers on Saturday (Match betting – 13/2 Hull, 7/2 draw, 1/2 Chelsea) as they bid to bounce back from successive league defeats.
The Blues started the campaign positively under the Italian this season as they won four games on the bounce in all competitions.
However, they dropped their first points in a 2-2 draw with Swansea at the start of September and have since struggled to get back on track.
Liverpool handed a first defeat of the season to Conte’s side following the trip to the Liberty Stadium, while Arsenal earned a comfortable 3-0 win in the Premier League last time out.
Chelsea (20/1 – Premier League Outright) did defeat Leicester in extra time in the EFL Cup inbetween the losses, but Conte is keen to see them get back to winning ways in the league.
Hull will provide the latest challenge for the west London club on Saturday at the KCOM Stadium and the Italian has been drilling his troops hard on the training ground.
Conte said: “It’s never good when you lose two games. But I also think in these two games we learnt a lot of important things and we must work very hard to recover.
“It’s important not to forget the past, because the past is very clear. We finished 10th last season and that means there were problems. Now, with great work and hard work we are trying to sort the situation; me, the players and the club together.
“We don’t have a magic wand to change the situation in a few months. We must work hard together and we are doing this. We must understand that only through hard work can we close the gap.
“I think we faced two very strong teams who are at the top and we have a lot to improve.”
