Zlatan Ibrahimovic says Manchester United are a work in progress but can improve to challenge for the Premier League title.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes Manchester United (11/4 Premier League Outright) can win the Premier League title following their strong start to the campaign.

After the disappointment of finishing fifth last term, it has been a summer of change at Old Trafford with Jose Mourinho taking over from Louis van Gaal.

Mourinho has been followed to Manchester by a number of exciting names, including Ibrahimovic and the Swede has taken no time at all to settle, scoring the winner in the Community Shield, before netting on the opening weekend at Bournemouth.

He continued his form on Friday as he netted twice to give his side a 2-0 win over Southampton.

Local rivals Manchester City (7/4 Premier League Outright) currently top the standings on goal difference, while Hull City are also on six points.

Next up for the Red Devils is a trip to the KCOM Stadium on Saturday and they will be keen to make it a hat-trick of victories heading into the international break (Match Betting – Hull 6/1, Draw 3/1, Manchester United 8/15).

It is now three seasons since United lifted the Premier League title but they currently look to have a squad capable of challenging.

Ibrahimovic’s goals will be key to their chances and the 34-year-old believes his side have the potential to go all the way this term.

“I believe that we can win the title, I have this vision,” said Ibrahimovic. “But we need to work hard for it and we will do everything to bother all the other teams that want to win.

“The season is long, I will work hard, the team will work hard and slowly we will get better and better so let’s see what the outcome will be.”
