American Express Community Stadium, Brighton

This match between Brighton & Hove Albion (11/4) and Manchester City (8/11) is essentially a dead rubber, with neither side having anything really to play for in the league.

City have won their third straight title and will likely ring the changes again, as Pep Guardiola looks ahead to Manchester United in the FA Cup and Inter Milan in the Champions League, with a potential treble on the line.

The Seagulls have had their own superb season and are guaranteed to finish in the top six and could yet pass Liverpool into 5th.

That means Europa League football will be seen at the AMEX next season and you get the feeling this is a club on the up and up.

Much of that credit has to be given to Roberto de Zerbi, who has taken Albion to a different level, after he replaced Graham Potter.

Team news:

Solly March, Jakub Moder, Jeremy Sarmiento and Tariq Lamptey are all injured and will likely not play again this season. Adam Lallana and Adam Webster will be late assessments.

Guardiola only has one injury doubt in centre back Nathan Ake. Erling Haaland could be benched again, in an attempt to keep him fresh for the two big cup finals.

Latest Brighton vs Man City Betfred Odds

Pascal Gros 1+ shot on target – 13/8

Pascal Gros called it “the best day of his life” on Sunday, when scoring the third goal in the 3-1 win over Southampton, that secured the Seagulls European football.

With that fine strike, the German midfielder pulled level with Glenn Murray and Neal Maupay as Brighton’s leading scorer in the Premier League and he has become a firm favourite at the Falmer.

The 31-year-old fired off four shots in total against the Saints, with three of them hitting the target and he is averaging 0.5 SoTpg this season.

Julian Alvarez first goal scorer – 7/2

Another man on a hot streak right now is World Cup winner, Julian Alvarez.

With star striker Erling Haaland being rested ahead of bigger games to come, it’s the Argentine who is benefitting the most.

The 23-year-old has nine Premier League goals in just 12 starts, three in his last six and two in his last two.

Betfred are running their famed Double Delight/ Hat-trick Heaven Promotion on this match, meaning should the striker score first and then go on to score a second, you will be paid at double the odds (7/1). Should he score a 3rd, you would be paid at triple the odds (21/2).
