West Ham vs Leeds tips
Date: Sunday 21st May
Time: 13:30
Location: London Stadium, Stratford
There should be a good mood among the home supporters at the London Stadium on Sunday in the week West Ham reached the final of the Europa Conference League and they will be hoping to build on that for the visit of struggling Leeds.
The Hammers have shown some strong home form since the start of the year and they are 6/4 to gain another victory after they saw off Champions League challengers Manchester United in their last league game on their own patch.
Leeds, meanwhile, are looking to end a run of seven league games without a win and their first under temporary boss Sam Allardyce, who was drafted in at the beginning of the month to try and save the Yorkshire club from relegation.
However, there have been encouraging signs after a strong performance in a 2-1 loss at leaders Manchester City and a 2-2 draw with Newcastle, in which striker Patrick Bamford missed a crucial penalty.
Team news
West Ham have reported that several players have minor knocks after their 1-0 win at AZ Alkmaar on Thursday, but their names have not been revealed and manager David Moyes has plenty of players in reserve who will be champing at the bit to be involved with places in the Conference final up for grabs.
One player who will not be involved is Italian striker GIanluca Scamacca, whose season is over after he underwent a knee operation.
Leeds skipper Liam Cooper is back in training but the game is likely to come too early for him, while full-back Junior Firpo will sit out after he was sent off in the 2-2 draw with Newcastle.
Tyler Adams, Stuart Dallas, Marc Roca and Luis Sinisterra are all set to miss out through injury.
West Ham to win @ 6/4
While their European exploits have grabbed all the headlines this season, West Ham have still been unable to drag themselves away from the bottom six in the Premier League.
However, their home form has been decent as Newcastle and Liverpool are the only visiting teams to have left with the points since the turn of the year.
They have beaten Manchester United and clawed their way back from a two-goal deficit to earn a 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
The Hammers have won five of their eight home games against other teams in the bottom half and they should be confident against a team who have lost their last four games on the road.
West Ham to win 2-1 @ 8/1
Leeds fell to a 2-1 loss at Manchester City in Sam Allardyce’s first game at the Elland Road helm and they could fall to a similar scoreline at the London Stadium.
Both teams have scored in each of the Whites’ last 11 league matches, and they need to pick themselves up from their losses at City, Fulham, Bournemouth and Arsenal.
They have conceded at least twice in each of their last five on the road and the Hammers, who have scored in all nine of their league home games this year, can keep that going and claim a 2-1 win.
