The last club to be relegated out of the Premier League won’t be determined until the final game of the season.

That’s the view of ex-England international Paul Robinson, who is predicting a Leicester at Newcastle on Monday which will see the Foxes join Southampton in the Championship next season.

But Robinson told The Betfred Football Show that he cannot decide whether it will be former club Leeds or Nottingham Forest who will also face the drop.

The former Spurs keeper thinks Everton will pull clear of the relegation zone this year with a 2-0 win at Wolves – and he’s forecasting a shock 1-0 triumph for Forest at home against Arsenal. He also believes Leeds will beat West Ham 2-1 to set up a dramatic finale to the season.

Further up the table, Robinson is backing Brighton to bounce back to winning ways and blitz basement boys Southampton 4-0.

He describes Manchester City’s performance against Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final as “fantastic”, adding that the treble – which is 4/6 at Betfred – is “bang on”.

He’s predicting City to beat Chelsea, who lack balance in the squad, by 3-0 to retain the title in style.

Robinson went on to praise the return to form of Liverpool, who he is forecasting will triumph 2-1 at Anfield against Aston Villa.

Finally, he predicts a 2-2 draw between Spurs and Brentford – and in the other all-London game between Fulham-Crystal Palace he goes for 0-0 draw.

Moving onto the Premier League Manager of the Year shortlist, Robinson couldn’t believe Bournemouth boss Gary O’Neil hasn’t made the cut – but he thinks it will be Manchester United celebrating at the seaside this weekend, beating Bournemouth 2-0 to virtually cement a top-four finish.
