The NBA playoff action is hotting up as Friday night/early hours Saturday brings two pivotal Game 6s between the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, and the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies.

NBA Betting Tips

  • Sacramento Kings @ Golden State Warriors – Warriors (-6.5) @ 4/5
  • Memphis Grizzlies @ Los Angeles Lakers – Lakers (-3.5) @ 10/13

Sacramento Kings @ Golden State Warriors – Warriors (-6.5) @ 4/5

The Golden State Warriors have the chance to keep the Northern California skies blue and gold, not purple, for the rest of the spring and summer when they seek a close-out victory in Game 6 of their first-round Western Conference playoff series at Chase Center.

The Warriors have bounced back from two series-opening losses to win three straight and lead the series heading into Game 6.

Steph Curry scored 31 points in Game 5 , while Klay Thompson (25), Draymond Green (21) and Andrew Wiggins (20) all chipped in help the Warriors to a crucial 123-116 victory on the road.

Whilst Golden State have struggled on the road this season, their home form has been excellent, which is why I’m taking them on the spread to close out the series.

Memphis Grizzlies @ Los Angeles Lakers – Lakers (-3.5) @ 10/13

The Memphis Grizzlies need a rare road win over the Los Angeles Lakers in order to stay alive in their first-round Western Conference series.

Memphis have gone 0-4 against the Lakers this season entering Game 6, and perhaps unnecessarily, Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane has ‘guaranteed’ that the series will go seven games.

To be fair, Bane did his part to keep Memphis alive with 33 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in Game 5, while backcourt partner Ja Morant added 31 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, and the Grizzlies will need a similar team performance to take this series back to Tennessee for a Game 7.

LeBron James was poor by his standards in Game 5, recording 15 points on 5-of-17 shooting and missed all five of his attempts in a scoreless fourth quarter. However, I’m expecting him to play better here, especially with the Lakers’ having the chance to close out the series.

I’m taking the Lakers to cover the spread.
