The NBA playoff action continues in the early hours of Wednesday morning, as the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns attempt to clinch their respective first-round series’.

Atlanta Hawks @ Boston Celtics – Celtics (-13.5) @ 10/11

The Celtics will look to eliminate the Atlanta Hawks when their Eastern Conference first-round series shifts back to Boston for Game 5 in the early hours of Wednesday night.

Boston took a 2-0 series lead at home before splitting the last two games in Atlanta, with a 129-121 win last time out putting the No. 2 seed on the verge of advancing. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum each scored 31 points, leading six Celtics who scored in double figures.

I can’t envisage the Celtics have any issues closing-out this series, especially at home, where they’ve won their last nine.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Denver Nuggets – Nuggets (-9.5) @ 10/11

The Nuggets had the chance to sweep Minnesota in Game 4, and came close to pulling it off in overtime, but the Timberwolves held in there, and now the teams are heading for a Game 5 in Denver.

The Timberwolves still have a daunting task ahead of them –  no NBA team has won a seven-game series after losing the first three games. A few teams have rallied to force a seventh game, including the 1994 Nuggets, but that’s as close as any team has come.

Once again, I would be very surprised to see anything other than a Denver win here.

Los Angeles Clippers @ Phoenix Suns – Suns (-13.5) @ 10/11

Kevin Durant was at the centre of Phoenix’s Game 4 victory over the Clippers, scoring 31 points, arrival from the Brooklyn Nets in February has been everything the Suns had hoped for.

Phoenix was 8-0 in the regular season with Durant on the court and has won three more times in four tries during the playoffs, including the 112-100 victory in Game 4.

The Clippers have been without Paul George for the entire series, and now the half of that dynamic duo in Kawhi Leonard, has been ruled out for Game 5 with a knee injury, making Los Angeles’ task notably daunting.
