The action continues at the Crucible and we have a full World Snooker Championship Preview for you. We’ve also previewed the matches on Wednesday and given you a treble accumulator, which has been boosted from 5/1 to 6/1!

World Snooker Championship Wednesday Tips

  • Ryan Day +2.5 Hcp – 4/5
  • Matthew Selt +4.5 – 4/5
  • Shaun Murphy -3.5 Hcp – 10/11

Acca – 6/1

Ryan Day +2.5 Hcp – 4/5

First up on Wednesday, we have an interesting looking match up between England’s Kyren Wilson (2/5) and Welshman Ryan Day (2/1).

The pair have played together 18 times over the years, with Day surprisingly on top, 11-7.

The frame count is a lot closer at 53-45, showing just how close the games between the two in the past.

I think ‘Dynamite’ can cover the handicap here and make this another really close match up.

Matthew Selt +4.5 – 4/5

In a similar vein, in the afternoon session we have Mark Selby (2/13) taking on Matthew Selt (9/2), in an all-England match up.

I tipped up ‘The Jester from Leicester’ in my pre tournament preview but I think Selt can make it hard work for him here.

Selby leads 9-3 in the head-to-head record, but Selt has won 2 of their last five match ups and I think he can win the required six frames to make this a winning bet.

Shaun Murphy -3.5 Hcp – 10/11

Last up in the evening session we have Shaun Murphy (1/4) taking on his old nemesis Si Jiahui (3/1).

The two have only faced off once before, at the UK Championship back in 2019. Back then, Jiahui was a unranked amateur but overturned the World Champion 6-5 in the opening round.

What followed was an extraordinary rant from Murphy, stating that he had been beaten by someone who shouldn’t have even been in the building and that he was stealing a professional’s living.

Since that meeting, the 40-year-old has seen his career enter a renaissance period, winning four tournaments, including two this season.

I think The Magician will have a point to prove here and will be looking to demolish his young opponent.

The three selections combined pay a tad over 5/1 at the time of writing but have been boosted by the Betfred traders to 6/1!
