Celtic will be looking to take another step towards defending their Scottish Premiership crown when they make the trip to Victoria Park to face relegation-threatened Ross County on Sunday.

Celtic have been the dominant force in Scottish football this season and it would take a monumental collapse for them to lose their grip on the league title, as they sit comfortably ahead of Rangers in second.

The Hoops have won 27, drawn one and lost one of their 29 top-flight matches to date and given that record it is no surprise to see them leading both the goals scored and goals conceded categories, netting a mammoth 93 times and allowing just 21 past them.

Ange Postecoglou’s troops already have the Scottish League Cup in the bag, having edged out the Gers 2-1 in the final, while they also face their Old Firm rivals at the end of April in the Scottish FA Cup semi-finals.

Completing the treble for the first time since the 2019/20 campaign is very much a possibility for Celtic and they can take another step towards the league title when facing County in Dingwall.

The Staggies are in deep relegation trouble as they sit in the bottom two of the division and they have lost four of their last five fixtures, going down to Rangers, St. Mirren, Motherwell and Livingston.

Malky Mackay’s side have also lost their last seven meetings with the Bhoys, with over 3.5 goals landed in four of those contests, and a similar result is expected on Sunday.

Celtic have plundered no less than 30 goals in their last nine league matches, all of which have resulted in victories, while they have also won their last five away games across all competitions, netting no less than 16 times.

There are goals throughout this Celtic squad, but no player has been in finer form than Kyogo Furuhashi, who has scored 20 goals to lead the division’s race for the Golden Boot.

Along with the Japanese, Liel Abada (10), Jota (9) and Daizen Maeda (7) have all been chipping in with regularity, while Sead Haksabanovic (5), Reo Hatate (5) and Aaron Mooy (4) have also contributed from midfield.

Of Celtic’s 27 league victories this season, a total of 15 have had over 3.5 goals in them and given the fact County have kept just one clean sheet from their last six top-flight assignments, another big victory looks to be coming the league leaders’ way.
