- Betfred Ambassador Frankie Foster will be picking out his four to follow every Saturday on the Betfred Blog, which we have put into a each-way lucky 15 for your perusal. The Accumulator pays just over 5000/1!
Frankie went fairly close last week with a winner in lord North and two finishing in 4th, just out of the places. How will he fare on Saturday?
Frankie’s Lucky 15 Tips
- 2.05 Kempton (Magnolia Stakes) – Foxes Tales – 11/2
- 2.25 Doncaster (Spring Mile) – The Gatekeeper – 9/1
- 3.00 Doncaster (Cammidge Trophy Stakes) – Kings Lynn – 6/1
- 3.35 Doncaster (Lincoln) – Atrium – 10/1
£1 E/W Lucky 15(£30 stake) pays £8068
2.05 Kempton (Magnolia Stakes) – Foxes Tales – 11/2
Foxes Tales was 3rd last time out in the Winter Derby stakes, that Lord North won but that doesn’t tell the full story.
Foxes Tales was nearly 5 wide round the bend and was given a hard task to get near the winner from there, doing well to finish a close 3rd.
Lord North franked that form going on to win the Dubai Turf, with an easier trip round, Foxes Tales looks solid.
2.25 Doncaster (Spring Mile) – The Gatekeeper – 9/1
I am willing to take a chance on The Gatekeeper here who made a winning return after 625 off the track.
Prior to that, glimpses of form were shown and the horse looked in great form when winning last week.
It was only a class 4 but he did it easy enough and you would expect that to have been a warm up for this weekend’s event.
3.00 Doncaster (Cammidge Trophy Stakes) – Kings Lynn – 6/1
KingsLynn has been no better than midfield in hot group 1 sprints but this is easier and he should enjoy conditions, having raced at Doncaster four times: winning two of them and finishing 2nd on the other two starts.
Has raced on soft ground four times, winning once over C&D and placing the other three. The only worry is that this is may be a spring board for better races.
Fast Response could be overpriced, after an impressive victory over C&D on heavy ground last time.
3.35 Doncaster (Lincoln) – Atrium – 10/1
Four-year-old’s with previous 1m success rated around the 100 mark, give you a start point based off of stats in the Lincoln.
Atrium progressed nicely last year and rounded the season off with two wins over the 1m trip, the last being at Doncaster on soft Ground, where he covered a lot of ground weaving through the field to win.
If he picks up where he left off and shows continued improvement, I would be hopeful he is in the frame. If backing, cross your fingers for a smooth passage, as he will most likely be held up.
If you follow the same form line, you would have to argue Empirestateofmind is overpriced.
