1.30 Newbury – Atlanta Brave – 7/1

A little brave trying to find a winner in this field with all of them still progressing but I feel that Atlanta Brave is the one most likely to do so.

R Patrick has ridden the last three times, winning cosily enough on the last 2 starts and now into a handicap should hopefully prove better than a mark of 125.

1.50 Kelso – Salvino – 10/1

I always like to start with course form at Kelso, that testing incline finish seems to separate a few and you get local trainers targeting races here. Salvino has had two starts at Kelso for local trainer Sandy Thompson, finishing 3rd and 1st.

Since winning here in November, he has placed twice in handicaps off of a similar mark and then was unlucky last time out in a Class 2 handicap when hampered at the last.

He may not have won that day but his chances were better than 11 lengths 7th looks on paper due to being hampered. He represents a strong EW chance in this field.

2.25 Kelso – Inis Oirr – 9/2

Another trainer with plenty of success round Kelso and Lucinda Russell’s horses are in great form.

Inis Oirr got the better of Outlaw Peter at Musselburgh, who is rated in the mid 130’s and a decent enough horse for Paul Nicholls.

The selection was last of six last time out in a Grade 2 at Haydock but I wouldn’t be put off by that, it was against better opposition and this race looks more suitable.

3.10 Meydan – Lord North – 7/2

This selection has shortened in the betting, so we don’t quite round off four nice EW prices but he still deserves his spot on this weeks four to follow.

A dual winner of this race, taking the same preparations as last year, winning at Lingfield.

He is seven years old and coming up against some younger exciting Japanese horses, but he was as good as ever at Lingfield and will be hard to beat if in the same form as when winning this last year.
