The jubilant Betfred online customer said: “I will be paying off a chunk of my mortgage on our semi detached family home – and a present for the wife is a given.
“There will be something for our grown-up children too but the big thing is a trip to the Scottish Highlands, near Inverness.
“My wife and I love hiking up there. It may seem odd with all the walking I do on my rounds as a postie but why not? Walking, especially in the fresh air with all that scenery, is good for you.
“I picked 34 because it’s not come out for ages and 43 because it’s the same numbers the other way round – while with nine I just chose that number randomly.”
