Action from the NBA continues on Monday night/Tuesday morning as teams jostle for position ahead of the completion of the regular season, and we’ve focused on four games on the night as part of a 11/1 four-fold.

Indiana Pacers @ Charlotte Hornets – Hornets (+1.5) @ 10/11

Neither team is in playoff contention, though the Pacers are on the cusp of the play-in places, and haven’t dropped back-to-back games in more than a month.

Meanwhile, the Hornets are in danger of going 0-5 on this season-long five-game homestand.

Both the Pacers and Hornets are coming off blowout losses to the Philadelphia 76ers – Charlotte lost 121-82 on Friday night and then the Pacers were on the wrong end of Saturday night’s 141-121 result.

Therefore, I think both teams will attempt to bounce back, so I’m expecting this one to be a close game.

I’m taking the Hornets to cover the point spread here.

Chicago Bulls @ Philadelphia 76ers – 76ers (-7.5) @ 5/6

Joel Embiid will seek to continue his MVP campaign when the Philadelphia 76ers host the Chicago Bulls on Monday night.

Embiid collected 31 points, seven assists, seven rebounds and two blocks on Saturday to help the 76ers secure their season-high eighth straight win – which ties their season-high – with a 141-121 rout of the Indiana Pacers.

Embiid also has at least 30 points in a franchise-record nine straight games.

The Bulls, meanwhile, will enter Monday’s game having won four of their last five games, and they managed to beat Philadelphia the last time these two teams locked horns.

There just looks to be no stopping Philly at this moment in time, so I’m siding with them here.

Golden State Warriors @ Chicago Bulls – Warriors (-9.5) @ 4/5

The individual brilliance of Stephen Curry has often carried the Golden State Warriors to dizzying heights, but this season it has not been enough to lift the Warriors out of a dismal away spell.

Case in point – Curry recently scored 50 against the Los Angeles Clippers, including eight three pointers, and Golden State still lost 134-126.

The Warriors are 0-7 on the road since the All-Star break, and will look to secure the first road win of their current five-game trip Monday against the Houston Rockets, against whom they are 3-0 this season with an average margin of victory of 13.7 points while scoring 121 points per game.

Despite their woeful away form this season, I fancy the Warriors to end their seven-game loss streak on the road here against the worst team in the Western Conference.

Dallas Mavericks @ Memphis Grizzlies – Grizzlies (-2.5) @ EVS

Winners of two straight and five of their last six, the Memphis Grizzlies will host the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night looking to secure sole possession of second place in the Western Conference standings.

Both teams have been rolling, but Dallas star Luka Doncic (thigh) has missed the last four games and is questionable to play against Memphis, which will be a huge miss for the Mavs.

Ja Morant is eligible to play in this contest after his recent suspension, but he’s been ruled out due to conditioning.

Memphis has a 2-1 edge in the season series with the Mavericks, so I’m going to side with them on the point spread here.
