The Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle (2.50 on Friday) looks fiercely competitive, but I’m hoping one for the in-form Henry De Bromhead can go well at an each-way price.

It must be said, I think this is probably the toughest non-handicap of the week, with around half the field boasting serious claims in my book.
Gordon Elliott’s Three Card Brag is a horse I really, really like, while Corbetts Cross arguably boasts the best form – but I think they’re both worth taking on at the prices though, given the competitiveness of the field.
You’d be mad to completely write off Embassy Gardens for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend, but I’m not sure he’s achieved much on the track to date.
The one I like most, relative to their price at least, is Henry De Bromhead’s Hiddenvalley Lake.
On what he’s already achieved, the six-year-old is right up there amongst the market leaders – and I think he has as much potential as anything in the field.
Trainer Henry De Bromhead, whose horses have been running extremely well at Prestbury Park this week, reckons he’d appreciate nicer conditions, so the drying ground looks to be in his favour.
All in all, I’m hopeful he can go well at what is a nice each-way price.
