Blood Destiny and Lossiemouth are pretty much neck and neck in the betting and have been contesting favouritism in the Ante-Post markets. Two wins from two since being transferred to the yard of Willie Mullins for the former with two very impressive wins in good company has gotten punters more than excited.
Yet for me it is the filly who should get the nod and the punters as of Thursday morning seem to agree. I suspect the defeat last time out spooked a few punters but that was on yielding ground and the horse was hampered on the run including landing on the hind legs of a competitor after a hurdle. We go 15/8 and 13/8 respectively and the fact Lossiemouth is as of the time of writing the favourite does not surprise me one jot.
It was Gala Marceau (4/1) who beat her stablemate that day but in their previous encounter, she was beaten back by seven-and-a-half lengths. Zenta also is set to take to the track for Mullins in only her second start under his tutelage. An all Mullins 1, 2, 3 would surprise no-one.
The De Bromhead/Blackmore partnership gets another outing with Ascending but this 40/1 shot seems at best an each-way play and that is at a push.
