With another place winner at the Honda Classic, we’ll have Jamie Worsley’s full preview and betting selections on Tuesday afternoon. Before then, we’ve taken a look at the early betting favourites in the field.

Arnold Palmer Invitational Odds

After a Honda Classic where most of the big hitters took a week off, we have the majority of the world’s best players back in action (44 of the top 50) at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Florida.

Of course, the field of 120 is led by the man of the moment and current world #1 Jon Rahm, who is seeking his sixth worldwide victory in his last ten starts.

All prices 1/4 odds 5 places (extra place markets go live on Tuesday)

Jon Rahm – 13/2

The 28-year-old returned to the summit of the OWGR’s at the Genesis Invitational, where he held off an impressive Max Homa, to win by two shots.

That win was his third win on the PGA Tour in just seven outings and he has a worst performance of T8th.

Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler form the best three players in the world right now, but Rahmbo looks head and shoulders above anyone else at the moment.

Rahm played his first API last year and finished T17th, so he clearly likes this place.

Rory McIlroy – 17/2

Rory had a pretty frustrating time of things at Riviera, which saw him finish T29th and also lose his world #1 tag.

Problems with his drive and with his putter meant the Northern Irishman was never really in contention and he finished a whopping 13 shots behind Rahm at the top.

After a week off working on his game, the Holywood superstar will be looking for an instant riposte to the Spaniard and to pick up his 2nd PGA Tour title of the season.

Scottie Scheffler – 10/1

Scottie reminded everyone of just how good a player he is at the WM Phoenix Open, going back-to-back to defend his title.

That win was his fifth win on tour in just over 12 months and he looked in good shape at the Genesis, finishing in the top 15 once again for the seventh straight tournament.

One of those five wins was here at Bay Hill last year, so he will be looking to successfully defend another title this week.

Max Homa – 18/1

Another man bang in form is 32-year-old Max Homa, who is looking for his third win on tour of the season.

Homa won at the season-opening Fortinet Championship, before winning again at the Farmers Insurance Open.

The California native pushed Jon Rahm all the way at the Genesis before settling for a runners-up spot.

Possessing a perfect 3 for 3 record at Bay Hill with a worst position of T24th, shows Homa will likely be right in contention again this week.

Latest Arnold Palmer Invitational Betfred Odds

Collin Morikawa – 20/1

Morikawa looks primed to win again after a superb run of results, with four top 10’s and two top 5’s  in his last five outings.

The missed cut at the Phoenix Open will have stung but he’s striking the ball superbly and just needs a solid week on the greens to contend again.

The 26-year-old hasn’t teed it up here since 2020, when he finished T9th.

Justin Thomas – 20/1

JT continued his perfect start to the season at the Genesis, going 6 of 6 for the year, with a worst placed finish of T40th.

The 29-year-old isn’t at the top of his game right now but has the class to explode to a win at any time.

Xander Schauffele – 22/1

Xander Schauffele is next up in the betting and has had a steady start to 2023.

The 29-year-old had to withdraw from the Sentry TOC with injury but has had five Top 15’s in his other five outings.

Schauffele has only teed it up here once before, finishing T24th in 2020.
