1. Here we go then… It’s Super Bowl LVII from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where the Philadelphia Eagles will play the Kansas City Chiefs. We have previewed the game for you and provided you with our best three suggested bets for the occasion.

Super Bowl 2023 Betting Tips

  • Kansas City Chiefs ML – 21/20
  • Travis Kelce first Touchdown Scorer – 6/1
  • Patrick Mahomes – Most Valuable Player – 5/4

It couldn’t be more perfect than this could it? The AFC #1 seed Kansas City Chiefs (21/20), play the #NFC #1 seed Philadelphia Eagles (4/5) in a battle to see who is the best team in the National Football League and become the new World Champions. Oh and the little manner of Rihanna in the Pepsi Half Time Show.

Newly crowned regular season MVP, Patrick Mahomes, takes on the man who came runner-up, Jalen Hurts, in a QB battle for the ages.

Can Mahomes shake off that niggly high ankle sprain and work his magic to drive the Chiefs to a second Super Bowl in four years?

Or will it be dual-threat QB Hurts who takes Philly to their second Lombardi in five years?

The Eagles absolutely destroyed the 49ers in NFC Championship, thanks to a superb pass rush defense, led by Haason Reddick, which took out their third string QB, Brock Purdy and his stand-in, Josh Johnson.

After that it was one-way traffic as the Eagles ran in four straight rushing TD’s. The D-Line will be hoping to do the same to Mahomes & Co on Sunday night.

The Chiefs meanwhile, squeezed through against the Bengals in the AFC Championship, winning 23-20, thanks to a late Harrison Butker FG and some dubious penalty flags.

Philadelphia are a slight favourite but this is a virtual pick-em match up and should be a tremendous spectacle for the neutral.

Team News

Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid has good news in the form of Wide Receiver Kadarius Toney, who completed a full practice on Thursday. However, L’Jarius Sneed(CB) was limited after a reoccurrence of a knee injury he suffered with back in Week 7.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni had Wide Receiver Brian Covey added to the injury report, with a hamstring injury and several players were listed as limited, as the Eagles chose to have a rest day on the Thursday.

Kansas City Chiefs ML – 21/20

The Eagles have been an absolute juggernaut this season, racing out to a 14-3 record and have carried that into the post season, smashing the Giants and the 49ers by a combined 55 points.

However, they have been up against Daniel Jones, Brock Purdy and Josh Johnson. Now they come up against one of the best to ever play the game.

KC on the other hand have had two tough match-ups against the Jags and the Bengals, both games being extremely competitive and they have had enough nous to get over the line in both, even with a semi-fit QB.

Hurts has had a fine season but on Sunday he will be up against the likes of Frank Clark and Chris Jones and he will need to throw for a lot more than the 275 yards he has in the postseason so far.

I’m taking a now fully-fit Mahomes to lead the Chiefs to a narrow victory over the Eagles and cement his status as the number one QB in the NFL.

Travis Kelce first Touchdown Scorer – 6/1

We took this pick in the AFC Championship and it landed. Kelce couldn’t nab us a second TD but the profit was already in the bank.

Travis may be up against his brother here but they will never be on the field at the same time and it’s the younger brother who will be stand out performer.

Future HOF Tight End, Kelce passed 1,000 yards receiving for the seventh straight year and picked up a career best 12 touchdowns, as well as another three in the playoffs.

We also have the following offer on all playoff games this weekend:

  • Place a pre-match First Touchdown scorer bet on any NFL Playoff game this weekend and if they score the first TD and then score again, we’ll double their odds !

Meaning that if Kelce does score first and then goes on to grab another TD later in the game, you’ll be paid out at a huge 12/1!

Patrick Mahomes – Most Valuable Player – 5/4

Can Mahomes break the recent MVP-Super Bowl curse? In the last 20+ years, nine QB’s have won the regular season MVP, to then lose in the Super Bowl.

Only ten men have won the MVP and the Super Bowl in the same season, with the last man to do so also going on to pick up the Super Bowl MVP. That was Kurt Warner with the St Louis Rams and the ‘Greatest Show on Turf’.

I think the 27-year-old Texas Tech alum can emulate that this year and go on to win his 2nd Super Bowl ring in just five seasons as a starter.

He has set the single season record for total yards (5,608) this year and broken his own passing yards (5,250) for a single season in the process.

Even if Mahomes isn’t 100%, he is capable of the utterly ridiculous and with the MVP award in the bag, he can lead the Chiefs to glory here.
