After 284 NFL games down it’s just the big one to go and it could hardly be any better with the two top seeds colliding in Super Bowl LVII in Arizona with nothing to split the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

At the time of writing, the Eagles are shading favouritism on the spread with Philly -1.5 @ 20/23, while you can take the Chiefs +1.5 @ 20/21.

Plenty of drama is sure to unfold – which Kelce brother (Travis or Jason) will win their second ring? Will Patrick Mahomes add a Super Bowl MVP to go alongside his regular season MVP? Can Chiefs head coach Andy Reid outwit his former team?

#PickYourPunt – Isiah Pacheco 15+ rushing attempts @ 5/2

Pacheco has certainly impressed in his rookie year in KC.

After Tyreek Hill was traded to Miami in the off-season, many expected the Chiefs to take this year to rebuild, but Pacheco has helped to fill the void left by Hill to a certain extent.

The running back had more than 15 or more rushing attempts on four occasions during the regular season, and he touched the ball three times on the Chiefs’ first five plays last week against the Bengals – so Andy Reid clearly trusts him.

He had 12 rush attempts against the Jaguars and 10 against Cincinnati, but with questions surrounding Patrick Mahomes’ ankle, I’m expecting this trend to continue on Sunday.

#PickYourPunt – DeVonta Smith 6+ receptions @ 5/4

Smith has had six or more receptions in four of his last five outings, and had 95 for the regular season, putting him 11th in the division.

Interestingly, Kansas City allowed an opposing player to catch six or more passes 24 separate times throughout 2022, so I’m expecting the 24-year-old to have more opportunities to catch passes on Sunday.

Smith was also one of just three players to draw eight or more targets in 10 straight games, a streak stretching from the regular season loss to Washington to the postseason triumph over the New York Giants.

#PickYourPunt – Patrick Mahomes to throw for 300+ passing yards @ EVS

Perhaps a fairly obvious pick this one.

However, it’s hard to overlook the greatness of Patrick Mahomes, and dodgy ankle or not, I’m still expecting some magic from him in this Super Bowl.

He threw for 326 yards last time out against the Bengals, and has covered 300+ passing yards 10 times during the regular season, so it’s easy to see why this is an even money shot.

‘Mahomes Magic’ has taken Kansas City to their third Super Bowl in four years, and Mahomes himself will be desperate to avenge the 31-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from a couple of years ago.
