The Premier League continues on Wednesday night as the rearranged game between bitter cross-Pennine rivals, Manchester United and Leeds United, takes place. We have previewed the game and provided you with our best bets for the occasion.
Man Utd vs Leeds Tips
The two old foes face off in a belated match-up after the initial meeting was postponed due to the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
They also face each other again at the weekend at Elland Road, in a cruel quirk of the fixture list that will see the hatred between these two sides magnified for the national audience.
The Yorkshire outfit (11/2) absolutely despise the Red side of Manchester and that may have played a part in the sacking of Jesse Marsch this week.
After a pitiful 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, which meant they are winless in seven in the Premier League, they figured it was worth changing things up in an attempt to get something out of these two games.
The Next Leeds Manager Market looks an open one but for now a trio of coaches (Michael Skubala, Chris Armas and Francisco Gallardo) are in charge for these two massive games.
Manchester United (4/9) meanwhile, are sailing full steam ahead to what looks like a potential hugely successful season.
They are in the EFL Cup final, are in the latter stages of the Europa Cup and FA Cup and sit 3rd in the Premier League table, just eight points behind leaders Arsenal.
The Red Devils responded to their 3-2 loss to the Gunners in fine style, winning their last four games in all competitions and will be hopeful of six points this week against manager-less Leeds.
Team news:
Erik ten Hag is without several key players for this one including influential midfielder Casemiro, who is suspended after being sent off for a choke hold on Will Hughes in midweek .
Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial remain out and join long term injured players Donny van de Beek and Christain Eriksen in the treatment room.
Leeds are missing Rodrigo who has had ankle surgery and will be out for months. Archie Gray, Adam Foreshaw and Stuart Dallas are joined by Sonny Perkins on the injured list.
Robin Koch , however, will be available after serving his suspension, in the loss to Nottingham Forest.
Manchester United to win to nil – 6/4
There is always the threat of a new manager ( or in this case no manager) bounce, but I can’t see a way that the Whites can get past Man Utd here.
The Red Devils have lost just once in their last 15 games and have won 13 of those.
United’s defence hasn’t been perfect but Leeds have had real issues scoring this season and I can see ETH’s men winning this one to nil.
Marcus Rashford first goal scorer – 3/1
What a run of form Marcus Rashford is in right now. He has scored 11 goals in his last 13 games and should get plenty of opportunities to net again here.
Betfred are running their famed Double Delight/ Hat-trick Heaven Promotion on this match, meaning should the England striker score first and then go on to score a second, you will be paid at double the odds (6/1). Should he score a 3rd, you would be paid at triple the odds (9/1).
