After a late finish on the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, we will have Jamie Worsley’s full preview and betting selections on Tuesday afternoon. Before then, we’ve taken a look at the early betting favourites in the field.

WM Phoenix Open Odds

For the first time in the 2023 season, we have the top two form players in world golf facing off against one another. Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy lead an absolutely stacked looking field featuring eight of the world’s top ten.

With all the craziness usually associated with the WM Phoenix Open, combined with the fact Arizona is hosting the Super Bowl on Sunday, this could be a tournament to remember.

All prices 1/4 odds 5 places

Jon Rahm – 15/2

The 28-year-old had a fairly disappointing result last time out at Torrey Pines, where he finished T7th at the Farmers.

All jokes aside, it was a shock to see him finish out of the top five after a below average final round 74.

His previous results before that read: T2, WIN, WIN, T4, T8, WIN, WIN, so you could say Rahmbo is in a fair vein of form right now.

Rory McIlroy – 8/1

Another man who is running hot is world #1 Rory McIlroy.

The Northern Irishman has played twice this season and won at both the CJ Cup and the Dubai Desert Classic.

McIlroy won three times in 2022, as well as 10 other Top 5 finishes.

Forget, Philly vs KC, this is going to be one hell of a battle between these two.

Scottie Scheffler – 14/1

Although, don’t count out the world #2 and defending Phoenix Open champion Scottie Scheffler.

It’s been a sub-par start to the 2023 season for Scheffler, yet he has gone 6 from 6, with four Top 10’s, so he is hardly shanking it at present.

Xander Schauffele – 14/1

World number six, Xander Schauffele is next up in the betting and has had a steady start to 2023.

The 29-year-old had to withdraw from the Sentry TOC with injury but has had four Top 15’s in his other four outings.

Schauffele was also a runner up here in 2021, so clearly likes the course.

Latest WM Phoenix Open Betfred Odds

Tony Finau – 18/1

Finau was one of the form players of this winter, with three wins in the space of seven weeks and whilst he hasn’t been that hot since, he’s still managed three more Top 10’s.

Like Schauffele, Finau is a previous form horse here, finishing runner up to Webb Simpson in 2020.

Collin Morikawa – 20/1

World #7 Collin Morikawa had a torrid time at the Sentry, losing a large lead to Jon Rahm over the back nine. to finish runner-up.

He responded with a decent 3rd place at the Farmers and clearly is in very good nick right now.

Justin Thomas – 20/1

JT is 4 for 4 on the year, with a worst placed finish of T40th.

TGhe 29-year-old isn’t at the top of his game right now but has the class to explode to a win at any time.

Patrick Cantlay – 20/1

Last up, we have the world #5 Patrick Cantlay, who was the runner-up to Scheffler here last year.

The American was also runner up at the Shriners and then finished T16th at the Sentry and T26th at the Farmers.
