We take a trip to the Netherlands and a town where my brother currently lives for our Football Bet of the Day at Evens or Longer this Sunday as we look to go six for seven for the week.

My trips to the Netherlands have been relatively fruitful so far, although my best results have come from the second division. Alas my brother is no football fan, so he cannot give me the insight into why Groningen are so poor but the results show us that they haven’t come away from a league game with even a point since the end of October. That certainly isn’t good.
They are 4/1 to win a game at home with the visitors priced up at 4/7 to win the game straight up. So the expectation is certainly on FC Twente to come away from the Euroborg Station with the points. The big question for this selection is whether they can do so with a two-goal cushion.
It has only been three weeks since amateur club Spakenburg were able to knock Groningen out of the Dutch Cup. A 0-1 home defeat to fellow relegation candidates Cambuur saw the Trots van het Noorden drop to the bottom of the league and fans of the club invaded the pitch to stage a protest in the 85th minute. Things are clearly not good for interim coach Dennis van der Ree and Sunday’s match could well be played out in front of a very disgruntled fan base.
FC Twente have won three games and drawn the other three since the resumption of play following the World Cup. All of their victories have come by the required two-goal margin for this bet to come in.
It feels like a relatively comfortable away win and I like them to do so by at least two goals at a decent price of 7/4.
