West Brom will hope to get back on track when they welcome Coventry City to the Hawthorns on Friday for a Championship clash carrying plenty of importance in the race to secure a play-off spot.
The Baggies have lost two in a row across all competitions, but last Saturday’s FA Cup exit at the hands of Bristol City offers them the chance to put their full focus on the Championship.
After bringing in Carlos Corberan to replace Steve Bruce in the dugout, Albion have climbed from 24th to 10th, having briefly spent some time in the play-off places, and they look set to be in the top-six mix come the end of the campaign.
Coventry, meanwhile, sit 13th after beating Huddersfield Town last time out, but that was their first win since 21st December when they beat the Baggies in the reverse fixture.
Performing on the road has been a big problem for the Sky Blues, though, with just 13 of their 38 points coming away from the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Team news
West Brom added to their squad on transfer deadline day with Marc Albrighton joining on loan from Leicester City and Nathaniel Chalobah completing a permanent switch from Fulham.
The newly-signed midfield duo are both in contention to feature in this clash and Karlan Grant is also available after his switch to Swansea City failed to materialise.
Matt Phillips sustained an injury in the FA Cup win over Chesterfield and is set for several months on the sidelines, while Kyle Bartley has a foot injury.
Martin Kelly’s loan switch to Wigan means Dara O’Shea, Erik Pieters and Semi Ajayi are the only three available central defenders.
Meanwhile, Tyler Walker wasn’t involved for City against Huddersfield last weekend, but, having trained all week, he could come back into the fold.
Michael Rose also missed the clash with the Terriers due to a throat infection, but he could also be involved.
West Brom to win to nil @ 15/8
Corberan has transformed West Brom since his appointment was confirmed in late October, dragging them from a relegation scrap to the fringes of the play-offs.
They won just two of their opening 16 games, but have picked up nine victories from 12 since Corberan took charge, however after back-to-back losses across all competitions he’ll be demanding a response when the Sky Blues visit on Friday.
Coventry have lost each of their last three away games and only four teams have worse records on their travels.
Just four clubs have scored fewer than Coventry’s tally of 12 on the road and that doesn’t bode well, especially when considering West Brom have kept clean sheets in each of their last six at home across all competitions.
Brandon Thomas-Asante to score anytime and over 1.5 total goals @ 9/5 – #PickYourPunt
We’ve picked two selections to make up our #PickYourPunt, with the first leg requiring forward Brandon Thomas-Asante to score anytime.
The 24-year-old has hugely benefitted from the arrival of Corberan, with five of his seven goals across all competitions coming under the Spaniard.
Over 1.5 total goals is the second leg and West Brom have comfortably delivered in that regard over recent times. At least two goals have been scored in four of their last five at home and in eight of their last 12 games.
