There are six races at Fakenham on Thursday with the opener set to go off at 13:40 and the closer scheduled for 16:25.
The going at the Norfolk venue is expected to be Good-Good to Soft in places and we’ve picked out three tips for the afternoon.
Fakenham Betting Tips
- 13:40 Fakenham – Shesupincourt @ 2/1
- 15:15 Fakenham – Treyarnon Bay @ 2/1
- 15:50 Fakenham – Bolsover Bill @ 6/4
13:40 – Shesupincourt @ 2/1
SHESUPINCOURT enters this contest with some solid form after earning three successive second-place finishes.
The six-year-old was last seen in January when beaten by a neck in a tight battle with Pageant Material at Ffos Las.
Ben Poste has been in the saddle for seven of her last nine trips but Caoilin Quinn, who has placed in three of his last five rides, gets this nod this time.
Secret Trix (6/4) looks set to the biggest rival to Shesupincourt after winning when last seen at Fakenham in November.
15:15 – Treyarnon Bay @ 2/1
TREYARNON BAY made a winning start to life at her new yard, coming home two-and-a-quarter-lengths clear of Vienna Girl at Southwell in May.
However, the Nick Henderson-trained five-year-old failed to build on that triumph on hurdles debut at Huntingdon, finishing seventh, although the winner of that contest has since landed again.
That experience over hurdles should stand Treyarnon Bay in good stead going forward and she is set to receive 7lb from the opposite sex in this race, which doesn’t look like as tough an assignment.
15:50 – Bolsover Bill @ 6/4
Our final tip comes from the 15:50 Novices’ Handicap Chase when seven runners are set to battle it out over 2m 3y.
BOLSOVER BILL saw his three-race winning streak come to an end last time out when finishing second to Roccowithlove by nine lengths at Catterick on January 25.
Prior to that second, the six-year-old had eased to a win at Ffos Las and sealed successive comfortable wins at Catterick.
Jockey Dylan Kitts, who steered Bolsover Bill to two of those wins, is back in the saddle and hoping to deliver once again.
The field doesn’t look too strong this time around but Getabuck (6/1) could provide a slight test of his credentials.
The Dr Richard Newland-trained Getabuck has finished third on his last two outings.
