Bet on the Premier League Darts with Betfred here

Jonny Clayton to win – 8/11

First up in Belfast, we have a replay of the World Championship quarter final, where Dimitri Van den Bergh beat Jonny Clayton 5-3.

‘The Ferret’ will be keen to show that was a blip and the 2021 Champion will be gunning for revenge.

This format doesn’t really suit Dimi and I think Clayton can glide to the win here.

Michael van Gerwyn to win – 8/13

Then we have a rematch of that game – The World Championship final… I Can’t Speyk!

One of the all time great darts games ended up with ‘Bully Boy’ winning 7-4 to claim his maiden world title.

As above, I don’t think short format will suit Smith and MVG is a notoriously quick starter.

Chris Dobey +1.5 Hcp – EVS

Dobey squeaked into this tournament at the eleventh hour, courtesy of a win in the Masters last weekend.

Peter Wright looked all at sea in the recent World Championships and I think ‘Hollywood’ is a great bet on the handicap at even money.

Nathan Aspinall +1.5 Hcp – 20/21

Last up we have Nathan Aspinall against Gerwyn Price.

The Welshman is sure to face some severe crowd hammering for his recent shenanigans at the worlds where he donned a pair of ear defenders and then promised never to play at Ally Pally again.

‘The Iceman’ hasn’t looked comfortable since then and ‘The Asp’ on the handicap looks the shrewd bet.

The four picks pay just under 10/1 on the night.

Night 1 winner – Michael van Gerwyn – 5/2

The Dutchman is looking for his seventh Premier League title and he can get off to a great start with an opening night win and five points.
