We’re absolutely delighted to announce that we have signed up renowned golf tipster Jamie Worsley to do all our golf previews moving forward. His full preview and tips for the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LPGA Tour will be out on Tuesday’s and as an added extra, we have had a look at the early odds for the Ras al Khaimah Championship.

Ras al Khaimah Championship

Thursday morning sees the short hop from the Dubai Desert Classic to Ras al Khaimah, where this is the 2nd outing for this newly formed tournament.

There is a fair drop in quality from Dubai in the field, with world no 30 Ryan Fox, the highest ranked player.

The field is led by two recent winners on tour in Adrian Meronk and Victor Perez.

Adrian Meronk – 18/1

The Pole picked up his second DP World Tour title at the recent Australian Open, winning by a clear margin of five shots in a superb performance.

He followed that result with a T10th in Abu Dhabi, before a disappointing missed cut in Dubai.

Meronk finished T6th here last year and lost a playoff on this course back in 2017, on a Challenge Tour event.

Victor Perez – 18/1

Perez won that title in Abu Dhabi and the Frenchman raced to second in the Ryder Cup points standings in the process.

The victory was the third of the 30-year-old’s career and he looks to be in the prime form of his life right now.

He was right in contention in Dubai, before a disappointing final round 75 left him in T28th.

Rasmus Højgaard – 20/1

The slightly older of the Hojgaard twins watched on as his brother demolished the field at Ras al Khaimah last year.

Rasmus has three tour wins to his name but none since August 2021, so is certainly due another.

The Dane showed he is back to something approaching his best with a T20the in Dubai.

Ryan Fox – 20/1

The New Zealander was the player of the year on the DP World Tour in 2022 and while he’s not quite replicated that form this season thus far, he is showing signs of getting there.

Fox was T6th in Abu Dhabi and T20th in Dubai and won at this very course last year in the Ras al Khaimah Classic.

He went on to have another win at the Alfred Dunhill Links as well as six other Top 5’s, showing just how much class he possesses.

Nicolai Højgaard – 22/1

The younger Hojgaard picked up his 2nd tour title here last year and looked imperious in doing so.

The 21-year-old looked in amazing form in the Hero Cup, when called up as a late replacement and has shown that in recent weeks, finishing T10th at both the Australian Open and Abu Dhabi.

Can he defend his title in Ras al Khaimah this week?

Adri Arnaus – 35/1

The Spaniard looked in good shape last week, finishing T13th in Dubai.

The 28-year-old finished T9th here last year and clearly likes the layout.
