Udinese will look to keep their European hopes on track when they host struggling Hellas Verona in the Serie A on Monday evening.

After a run of 11 games without victory across all competitions, Udine returned to winning ways last time out when they beat Sampdoria 1-0.

Despite their recent run of form, they still sit seventh in Serie A and are currently on course to qualify for the Europa Conference League.

They haven’t sealed back-to-back Serie A wins since enjoying a six-game winning streak between August and October, however the visit of Verona offers a great chance to correct that record.

Hellas sit 18th and five points from safety after tasting victory on just three occasions in 2022-23.

The Mastiffs have the worst away record in the division, failing to win a single game, and have collected only three points on their travels.

Udinese vs Hellas Verona Betting Tips

  • Udinese to win and under 2.5 goals @ 11/2
  • Beto to score anytime and Federico Ceccherini to be carded @ 9/2

Team news

Udine forward Gerard Deulofeu requires surgery after rupturing the cruciate in his right knee and he’s set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Roberto Pereyra is a doubt after sustaining a minor injury and Kinglsey Ehizibue, who netted the winner against Sampdoria, looks set to retain his starting berth.

Verona also have a long-term injury to contend with, after forward Thomas Henry suffered an ACL injury last time out.

Ondrej Duda and Adolfo Gaich are understood to be on the verge of joining from Koln and CSKA Moscow, but neither will be available for this game.

Boss Ivan Juric is expected to bring Ibrahim Sulemana into midfield, replacing Ivan Illic, who is set to link up with Torino.

Giangiacomo Magnani should also earn a place in the starting XI in the place of the suspended Pawel Dawidowicz.

Latest Udinese vs Hellas Verona Betfred Odds

Udinese to win and under 2.5 goals @ 11/2

It has been a season of major contrast for Udinese after they picked up six wins from their first eight games to sit as high as third, before registering just one win from their following 11 outings.

Boss Andrea Sottil will hope the victory at Samp last time out spells a turn in their fortunes as they attempt to stay in the race for a European berth.

Failing to beat Hellas Verona at home would be regarded as a major disappointment and Sottil’s men should be raring to go after their recent success.

However, goals are unlikely to be free-flowing in this clash, with seven of Verona’s nine away games featuring fewer than three.

Beto to score anytime and Federico Ceccherini to be carded @ 9/2 – #PickYourPunt

Norberto Bercique Gomes Betuncal, better known as Beto, is Udinese’s top-scorer this term with seven to his name.

The Portuguese is well on his way to matching last season’s tally on 11 and he makes up the first leg of our #PickYourPunt bet builder.

He scored in the reverse fixture and Udinese will be more reliant on his services now Deulofeu has been ruled out due to injury.

The second leg of our bet builder requires Ceccherini to be carded in the game. He has received six yellow cards this campaign, despite featuring just 13 times, and looks a prime candidate to have his name taken in this clash.
