- Back Over 3.5 Goals for Celtic at 9/4.
The two clubs have already met in Dundee this season and the result that day was an absolute shellacking as the visitors walloped United 0-9. It was the biggest win of the season and is a good indication to what Celtic can do to domestic opposition when they hit their stride.
They have also faced off in Glasgow in a much more competitive game where the home side took home the three points following a 4-2 victory. Both games clearly surpassed the 3.5 goals mark and I like this encounter to follow suit.
One of the reasons I like this selection is Celtic have an excellent array of firepower up front. They have plenty of goals from the likes of Furuhashi and Giakoumakis in the tank and could easily roll a Dundee United side who are fighting to stay up following a very indifferent campaign.
Celtic games have cleared the over 3.5 mark in five of their previous seven with Ante Postecoglou’s side having scored at least four themselves in their previous seven games. The Hoops to go over 3.5 on their own is 9/4 whereas the Total Goals of over 3.5 is a much shorter 11/10. I’m not sure DU will score so the value is to play the Celtic line only rather than the total.
