Betfred boss Fred Done is pondering paying out early on Arsenal winning the Premier League IF the Gunners beat his beloved Manchester United in Sunday’s showdown at the Emirates.

But Fred, who has built a reputation on paying out early on the title race, is predicting an against-the-odds 2-0 win for Erik Ten Hag’s men.

He was put on the spot about his intentions come Sunday in a cheeky exchange with Reds legend Lou Macari during a special edition of The Betfred Football Show.

“Let me consider it. I don’t mind paying out early on my own team, but with other clubs it hurts,” was Fred’s response to Lou’s questioning.

Having played 400 times for United, the 73-year-old former Scottish international also thinks his former club will complete the double over Arsenal having already beaten them at Old Trafford this season – but he reckons it’ll be by a single goal this time.

Macari labelled it a ‘must win’ for United if they are to stay in the title race along with Arsenal and local rivals Manchester City.

He also praised how Ten Hag has instilled more discipline and focus within the United squad.

As a die-hard Red, Macari couldn’t resist criticising Liverpool, branding them a team that’s “fallen apart,” with Fred pointing out that TV pundit and Anfield legend Graeme Souness was right when he said the Liverpool team “had no legs in midfield.”

The duo both went for West Ham to beat Everton 1-0 in the relegation six-pointer on Saturday.

Fred reasoned he still thinks City will retain the title – and although Lou didn’t offer a prediction on that, he is naturally hoping it will be United!
