There is a six game Premier League slate taking place on Saturday, with the late kick off taking place at 17.30 at Selhurst Park, between Crystal Palace and Newcastle. We’ve previewed the game and provided you with our suggested best bets for the match.
Crystal Palace vs Newcastle Tips
Crystal Palace (16/5) picked up a superb point on Wednesday night, after a last ditch stunner from Michael Olise meant the Eagles shared the spoils with high-flying Manchester United.
Patrick Viera will be slightly concerned that his side are now winless in four games in all competitions and will be desperate to pick up three much needed points in front of the Selhurst faithful.
Newcastle (9/10) meanwhile, have had a full weeks rest and recuperation, after their own late winner against Fulham.
Eddie Howe’s side are unbeaten since the World Cup break and remain in the top four. A win here would at least maintain the five point gap between them and 5th placed Spurs.
Patrick Viera is without the injured James McArthur, Nathan Ferguson and Joachim Anderson.
Emil Krafth, Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Target will be joined on the injured list by Bruno Guimarães, who picked up an ankle injury against Fulham but a scan showed the injury is not as bad as first feared.
Match result – Draw – 12/5
Palace played some really good stuff against the Red Devils and were denied by an inspired David de Gea on a number of occasions.
If they perform similarly against Newcastle, it’s hard to see them being beat in front of their own fans.
Newcastle were extremely fortunate against Fulham, seeing a freak double-kick penalty ruled out, before a late Alexander Isak goal to win it.
This fixture has finished 0-0 in the last two seasons and I can see another stalemate again on Saturday.
Alexander Isak first goal scorer – 5/2
The big Swede has had a stop start beginning to his Magpies career but when he has been fit, he’s looked extremely dangerous in front of goal.
In the four games he has played, the 23-year-old has netted three times and is carrying on the form he showed at Real Sociedad.
Betfred are running their famed Double Delight/ Hat-trick Heaven Promotion on this match, meaning should Isak score first and then go on to score a second, you will be paid at double the odds (5/1).
Should he score a 3rd, you would be paid at triple the odds (15/2).
