The NBA continues into the early hours of Friday morning with the pick of the games being a rematch of last season’s NBA Finals as the Golden State Warriors take on the Boston Celtics.
NBA Betting Tips
- Golden State Warriors @ Boston Celtics – Celtics (-4.5) @ 5/6
- Philadelphia 76ers @ Portland Trail Blazers – 76er (-2.5) @ 10/11
- Brooklyn Nets @ Phoenix Suns – Nets on the Money Line @ 10/11
Accumulator of 5.68/1
Golden State Warriors @ Boston Celtics – Celtics (-4.5) @ 5/6
The Golden State Warriors have struggled away from home all season long – they’re currently 5-17.
The Dubs will be hoping that the worst road woes are behind them, as they have won two of their last three away from home after beating the Washington Wizards 127-118 last time out.
Meanwhile, the Celtics have been the best team in the NBA this season, with Jayson Tatum one of the favourites to win the MVP award. Boston have the best record in the NBA (33-12), and they are 17-5 at home this season.
I’m backing Boston to cover the point spread here, as they have been the most consistent team in the league this season. Despite the Warriors winning their previous match-up this season in San Francisco, I’m not sure which Golden State will show up – they’re too unpredictable.
Philadelphia 76ers @ Portland Trail Blazers – 76er (-2.5) @ 10/11
This will be the first time these two sides have met this season, so I’m expecting an exciting contest.
The Sixers come into this one searching for their fourth straight victory, while the Trail Blazers are looking for their third straight home triumph.
The Sixers started their current road trip with a 118-117 victory against the Utah Jazz this past Saturday. They outlasted the Los Angeles Lakers 113-112 on Sunday and beat the LA Clippers 120-110 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Portland suffered a loss to the Denver Nuggets last time out, after a couple of wins over the Dallas Mavericks (136-119 and 140-123).
I fancy the Sixers on the point spread here, as their defense of the three-point line has been very impressive lately, and Joel Embiid has been unstoppable. Damian Lillard continues to shine for Portland, but the rest of the pack are underperforming.
Brooklyn Nets @ Phoenix Suns – Nets on the Money Line @ 10/11
Both teams come into this contest off the back of defeats.
Brooklyn were beaten by San Antonio, while the Suns were clobbered on the road by Memphis, so both sides will be seeking to make amends here.
The Nets were without their superstar duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving for the clash against the Spurs, and the result marked their third consecutive loss.
The Suns have lost 12 of their last 14 games, and their defeat against Memphis also marked their third straight loss.
Both teams are dealing with injuries, but I think the Nets have better depth, which is why I’m taking them on the money line. Irving could also return here, which should be enough to earn the win on the road.
