After being brought back down to earth by Napoli last weekend, Juventus will look to return to winning ways when they host Monza in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia on Thursday.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side had been looking back to their best, only for Napoli to cruise to a 5-1 victory at their expense last weekend.

The Old Lady are now 10 points behind the Partenopei in the race for the Serie A title, but Thursday’s tie will give them a welcome distraction.

Juve are the most successful side in Coppa Italia history, and they are looking to win the competition for the 15th time.

Monza will arrive in Turin in confident mood, having enjoyed a four-match unbeaten run in Serie A.

Juventus vs Monza Betting Tips

  • Juventus to win to nil @ 11/8
  • #PickYourPunt – Juventus to win, Under 3.5 goals and Moise Kean anytime scorer @ 7/2

Juventus are 8/15 to win Thursday’s tie on home soil, which is quite generous considering the gulf in class between the teams.

The draw is priced at 3/1, while Monza are considered 11/2 outsiders for victory within 90 minutes at the Allianz Stadium.

Team news

Juventus have been hit hard by injuries throughout the season, but their treatment room appears to be emptying at the right time.

Allegri could welcome back Dusan Vlahovic and Juan Cuadrado from injury, although the game comes too soon for Paul Pogba.

Leonardo Bonucci, Mattia De Sciglio and Kaio Jorge remain absent, so Allegri is likely to give some of the club’s youngsters a chance to impress, with Fabio Miretti, Nicolo Fagioli, Matias Soule and Samuel Iling-Junior all pushing to start.

Monza will be unable to call upon the services of Juventus loanee Nicolo Rovella through injury, while Dany Mota is also a doubt due to a muscular problem.

Andrea Petagna and Christian Gytkjaer will hope to start Thursday’s cup tie, with the latter scoring the winner in Monza’s 1-0 win over Juventus in September.

Latest Juventus vs Monza Betfred Odds

Juventus to win to nil @ 11/8

While Monza are comfortably sitting in mid-table, they are still expected to struggle against Juventus on their travels.

Before their defeat to Napoli, Allegri’s side had won eight straight league games without conceding. The Bianconeri have only conceded three goals in their last seven home games in all competitions, and they should be able to continue that record against Monza.

Monza’s away record is nothing to write home about, and the Biancorossi have lost three in five on the road.

#PickYourPunt – Juventus to win, Under 3.5 goals and Moise Kean anytime scorer @ 7/2

Juventus should have the quality to overcome Monza this week, do not expect them to run riot.

Juve have won five of their last 10 matches by a single goal, while at home, they have only scored more than three goals twice since the start of 2021.

Allegri’s troops can still book their place in the next round without conceding, but doing so by scoring under 3.5 goals seems a sensible play, especially with numerous changes expected within their squad.

To add some further value to their #PickYourPunt selections, bettors may want to include Moise Kean as an anytime goalscorer.

With the big guns nearing fitness, this could prove a rare opportunity for the 22-year-old but he scored five times in five games before the World Cup break and will be looking to prove he deserves to partner Vlahovic.
