Winter Love Island got going on Monday and we’ve already seen small movements in the betting markets following the first coupling up scenes…
Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins are both Harry Potter fans and have seemed to already hit it off so to speak. We’ve seen in the past that the first couple to get things going can go all the way and win the competition but this is very much early days. I’m certainly not going to call them Jack and Dani just yet. Both are priced up at 5/2 to be the top male/female contestant respectively.
Kai Fagan was the cast member with the most interest having been picked by three different girls in the first coupling up moments. The boxer from Manchester has every chance to go a long way with some much initial interest meaning he should be set for a long run in the South African villa. We make him 4/1 to be the top male.
At the other end of the spectrum, farmer Will had a struggle with no-one picking him and that left poor Olivia to take him last with no other options left. He has admitted to having another girl’s name tattooed on his ankle, which it would be fair to say did not go down well with his partner. She told the group how funny he is but she clearly has as much interest in him romantically as I have interest in cleaning my bathroom. Amazingly he’s the same price as Kai at 4/1. Already getting Dr. Alex vibes.
Haris Namani has already drifted to 6/1 and is the longest priced in the market. He’s coupled up with Anna-May but already has the keen eye of Olivia who is desperate to move on from Will.
Shaq and Tanya also quietly had a solid first day and have already spoken about having sexual chemistry. They didn’t get much air time last night, so they’ll be ones to watch closely over the next couple of shows.
All the girls are close in the betting ranging from 5/2 to 4/1 with the guys ranging from 5/2 to 6/1.
A new boy Tom (unpriced as yet) entered the villa at the end of the episode and will be forced to break up a couple in the episode tonight. No-one seems at all solid yet although Ron and Lana seem to at least like one another.
