Willie Mullins’ Ballymore hero features alongside stablemates Adamantly Chosen, Appreciate It, Bronn, Dysart Dynamo, El Fabiolo, Flame Bearer, Gaillard Du Mesnil, Glengouly, Ha D’Or, I Am Maximus, James Du Berlais, Kilcruit and Ramillies – many of whom are double and even triple-engaged across the four novice chases.
Mighty Potter, our antepost favourite for the race, is one of three for trainer Gordon Elliott, who also has last term’s Triumph Hurdle runner-up Fil Dor and Hollow Games entered.
Some other potential Irish raiders are Journey With Me for Henry De Bromhead – who was not given an entry for the Brown Advisory which many were expecting – Mouse Morris’ Gentlemansgame and Banbridge for Joseph O’Brien.
The British contingent includes but isn’t limited to Patrick Neville’s The Real Whacker, who is prominent in the betting for the three-miler, Balco Coastal for Nicky Henderson, the Paul Nicholls duo of McFabulous and Stage Star and Lac De Constance for the red-hot Dan Skelton.
