Dancing on Ice is finally back on our screens and Sunday night saw the first six celebrities don their glittery spandex apparel and hit the ice rink for the first time.
It was pre event favourite Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu who found herself in next week’s dance off, so lets take a look at all those updated odds for the celebrities who danced on the opening night of ‘The Greatest Show on Ice’…
Dancing on Ice Odds
Nile Wilson – 6/4
Olympian Nile Wilson was the main beneficiary of the dance-off vote and the pre-show 2nd favourite shortened even more from 9/2 to 6/4, after an amazing 29.5 point routine with some incredible spins and tricks.
Obviously we’ve only seen half the celebrities dance but they’re going to have to go a long way to beat this runaway early favourite.
That was a medal-worthy performance, if you ask us! 🏅Olympian @NileMW and his partner @oliviaxsmart close the performances for week 1 with the highest score of the night, 29.5 ⛸️ #DancingOnIce pic.twitter.com/0PpL5hubHZ

Joey Essex – 5/2
Essex by name, Essex by nature! Joey opened the show with his usual cheeky chappie style and put together a really impressive start with a total score of 27.
The 32-year-old reality star is clearly loving this opportunity and host Holly Willoughby all but confirmed that Essex and his dance partner Vanessa Bauer are dating one another.
Could this storyline of love on the ice push Joey’s odds in even further? He’s already shot in from 11/2 to 5/2 after the first show.
Siva Kaneswaran – 9/1
‘The Wanted’ singer was another good performer on the night, picking up a respectable score of 24 from the judges.
The Irishman has slightly drifted in the odds though from 7/1 to 9/1, after the more impressive performances of Nile and Joey.
Don’t count Siva out just yet though, there is a long way to go!
Michelle Heaton – 16/1
Someone who can count themselves unlucky on the night is Liberty X star, Michelle Heaton. A decent looking routine was drastically underscored, with the 43-year-old only receiving 19 marks.
As a result of that, she’s drifted way out to 16/1, from an opening mark of 7/1 and will need to pick up higher scores moving forward.
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – 20/1
The story of the night was undoubtedly Ekin-Su who was shocked after being told she was in the dance off next week.
After a bizarre routine, where she wore one of the skimpiest costumes ever seen on the show and spent some of the routine crawling, rather than skating on the ice, with her partner Brendyn Hatfield, the Love Island winner received 21.5 points.
Given just five minutes to vote for their favourite celebrities, which didn’t go down well with the watching public, Cülcüloğlu’s name was read out as the celebrity in jeopardy and both herself and her watching partner Davide, looked fuming.
Can she turn it around next week? Not if the hoardes of unhappy punters on Twitter have anything to do with it!
Britney left quaking! 🔥 @ekinsuofficial has skated… and crawled her way to a score of 21.5 with her partner @BrendynHatfield ⛸️ #DancingOnIce pic.twitter.com/QiVixBhHHo

Patsy Palmer – 33/1
Last, but not least we have EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer, who looked a bit unsteady on the ice and picked up a lowish score of 21.
The 50-year-old has since drifted to rank outsider, along with John Fashanu and I don’t think she will be hanging around for long at this rate.
Of course, we still have six more celebs to see next week, so it’s all to play for! Who is your favourite so far??
