A deposit for a dream cottage is on the cards for a new Betfred customer who won £18,719 for FREE.
Robert Atkinson, a 34-year-old engineer from Barrow-In-Furness, was the lucky recipient of one of our free bets, so he slapped on a £7.50 each-way wager on a six-fold horse racing accumulator that featured races at Warwick and Kempton on Saturday.
He took just 15 minutes to successfully select Haddex Des Obeaux, Grey Dawning, Iwilldoit and Glimpse Of Gala at Warwick – plus Pic D’Orhy and Quick Draw at Kempton.
Robert and his partner Autumn Stevens, a 30-year-old trainee nurse, intend to move out of their current home having used their winnings on a deposit for a cottage in the countryside with plenty of room for their cob horse Chloe and dogs.
“I was sweating on the last race, with Glimpse Of Gala against it, but eventually she jumped clear,” said Robert.
“The first thing I did after I won was wake up my partner who was having an afternoon snooze because she’d been working so hard. When she came round, she was absolutely delighted.
“It’s a great start to the New Year, unlike this time 12 months ago when she was involved in a road accident.
“Money is tight at the moment, but after my biggest ever win we’ll be able to get a deposit down on a cottage in the countryside and have a holiday, probably in Italy, later this year.”
