Many people wrote off the 2022 runners up, Cincinnati Bengals (12-4) after a dire start to their 2023 Super Bowl campaign, losing their first two games.
However, Joe Burrow & Co. had a superb finish to the regular season, winning eight straight games and showing the sort of offensive firepower that got them to the Super Bowl last time out.
The Baltimore Ravens (10-7) had a disappointing end to their campaign, losing three of their last four matches, including a 27-16 loss to the Bengals at Paycor just last week.
‘Who Dey’ are still feeling slightly aggrieved they weren’t given the chance to fight for the no 1 AFC Seed, after the horrific injury to Damar Hamlin in their postponed game against the Bills.
They will use that as extra motivation to prove they are one of the best teams in the AFC, against a Lamar Jackson-less Ravens. The dual threat QB is still not fit enough to return here.
Bengals -8.5 @ 10/11
Cincy won by 11 points against Baltimore last week and I think we could see an even bigger margin this week. The Bengals have all their attacking threats back in the form of Joe Mixon, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins and QB Joe Burrow is looking back to his very best in recent weeks. I expect this to be a blowout.
Ja’Marr and Tee Higgins to score a TD – 3/1
Two of those aforementioned threats are my second bet. A double on Chase and Higgins to score a touchdown each, pays just over 3/1. The two have a respective nine and seven TD’s this year, with six of those coming in the last five games.
