Ronnie O’Sullivan to win, have highest break and most centuries – 6/4
The afternoon session sees a quarter final clash between two veterans of the sport, as seven-time Masters champion and tournament favourite Ronnie O’Sullivan (2/5), takes on the two-time champ Mark Williams (19/10).
The two have faced off 49 times over their 30 years as snooker professionals, with ‘The Rocket’ winning 34 of the match-ups.
The majority of the wins for Williams have been over a shorter frame format than this 11 frame match and in recent times Ronnie has outscored the Welshman in terms of high break and centuries.
In their last three head-to-head over 11+ frame distance, O’Sullivan leads 12-2 in century breaks.
O’Sullivan looked in magnificent form, beating Luca Brecel 6-1 in the first round and while this one should be closer, the GOAT should have too much firepower for Williams.
Jack Lisowski -2.5 frame handicap – 8/5
The evening sees an unlikely match up between England’s Jack Lisowski (4/7) and Iranian Hossein Vafaei (7/5).
‘The Prince of Persia’ was granted a late place at the tournament due to the expulsion of Yao Bintong and Zhao Xintong, due to the ongoing match-fixing investigation.
The 28-year-old wasted no time at all in cashing in his big chance, beating a really poor Mark Selby 6-2, in the last 16.
Lisowski looked superb in his own opening match, dispatching John Higgins 6-3 and has been one of the form players on tour this year.
‘Jackpot’ leads the head-to-head 6-1 over Vafaei, winning 32 of 49 frames between the two and should be able to cover the -2.5 frame spread.
