Winter Love Island is fast approaching and ITV have announced the initial ten Islanders who are set to enter the villa. Who will be getting the ick and who will be getting it on? We’ll find out soon enough as the show starts on Monday at 9PM on ITV2 and ITVX. We take a look through the first look odds based on their bios to see who we should be backing to go all the way…

Winter Love Island 2023 – Top Female Odds

Olivia Hawkins – 11/4
Lana Jenkins – 3/1
Anna-May Robey – 3/1
Tanyel Revan – 5/1
Tanya Manhenga – 5/1

Olivia Hawkins is arguably the most well-known of the women jetting off to South Africa looking for love as she’s been a ring girl and actress. The 27 year-old from Brighton has also been a body double for both Michelle Keegan and Emma Watson. Having never been in a relationship hse’s hopeful this will be the start of something and we make her the early favourite having priced her up at 11/4 to win as the market opened.

Makeup artist Lana Jenkins has opened up as the joint second-favourite in the Top Female market. The 25 year-old from Luton says that people sending question marks when you haven’t responded to a text is something that gives her the ick, which is more than fair enough but she also says guys tripping over is ick worthy. Tough crowd. She’s 3/1 to win in the initial betting.

20-year-old Anna-May Robey hasn’t had the greatest history when it comes to dates and she’s even had a guy fall asleep on her during a date. She had to clink his wine to wake him up. I’m guessing a second date wasn’t in the offing but she thinks Love island is a good way to meet someone and she’s the 3/1 joint second choice in the Female market.

Hair stylist Tanyel Revan is a 5/1 shot. Her celebrity crush is Channing Tatum and she doesn’t like pretty boys. I’m not 100% sold she’s on the right show if that is the case but if a guy is manly and can dance, they are very much in a good spot.

Student Tanya Manhenga is also sitting at 5/1 as the market opened to emerge as the last girl standing. The biomedical science student from Liverpool isn’t a huge fan of guys that don’t wear socks around the house, which I can see but why is having a bath without bubbles ick worthy? I’ll remember to keep the bubbles on in my hot tub if she ever pops round.

Winter Love Island 2023 – Top Male Odds

Kai Fagan – 3/1
Shaq Muhammed – 3/1
Will Young – 7/2
Ron Hall – 4/1
Haris Namani – 5/1

Over to the guys and it is Kai Fagan is our 3/1 joint favourite and who after the past few years of home schooling won’t have love and support for a teacher? The 24 year-old has also played Rugby 7s for Jamaica and plays semi-professional for Burnage RFC. I think he’s an early contender based solely on his bio and can see why we’ve priced him up as we have.

Shaq Muhammad is an airport security officer from London who is hoping that he comes away from the villa with his future wife. I’m not sure Betfred have a market available for that but we do make him a 3/1 shot to be the last man standing. He also cries every time at the film Dear John. Is that ick worthy or romantic? Answers on a postcard…

Over to the guys and Will Young is the early favourite. It may have been what, two decades since a person with the same name won a reality TV show on ITV (one for those of us who are a bit older there) but the farmer from Buckinghamshire has already faced some controversy over some of his vlogging from his farm by PETA but he likes to meditate and we make him a 7/2 shot to be the top male before the show starts.

At 4/1 we have 25 year-old Ron Hall from Essex. The financial advisor is blind in one eye from an old football injury and based on the quotes sent out from ITV, seems to have his head screwed on. Not really sure I’m in agreement at such long odds compared to what we’ve already seen as he could well be a serious contender.

21 year-old Haris Namani from Doncaster calls himself unique (well aren’t we all Haris?) who is confident, not awkward, especially with the girls. They are his words not mine. Call me dubious but if someone who has to specify that he’s not awkward when trying to chat up someone is probably awkward as. We have him a 5/1 shot to be the Top Male and I’m not loving his chances based on what he’s said about himself.
