Championship leaders Burnley have the opportunity to cause an upset when they head to Premier League side Bournemouth in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Bournemouth and Burnley switched divisions over the summer with Scott Parker guiding the Cherries to the top-flight, while caretaker boss Mike Jackson, who stepped in after Sean Dyche’s sacking, was unable to save the Clarets from relegation.
Parker is no longer in charge of the south coast club after a disappointing start to 2022-23 and Gary O’Neil has been tasked with trying to keep them in the Premier League.
O’Neil will undoubtedly be prioritising survival over a cup run and, with that in mind, he’s likely to rotate his starting XI for this FA Cup tie.
Burnley counterpart Vincent Kompany, meanwhile, will see this as an opportunity to keep confidence levels high and continue building momentum.
The Lancashire outfit are five points clear at the top of the Championship and boast a 14-point cushion to third-placed Blackburn as automatic promotion is looking like a serious possibility.

O’Neil won’t be looking to completely write off this game as it offers a chance to try and get back to winning ways, however, he will be attempting to balance naming a strong XI with offering minutes to some fringe players.
Keiffer Moore could come back into the starting XI for Bournemouth, while Siriki Dembele is pushing for his first start of the campaign.
Joe Rothwell looks set to get the nod in midfield but O’Neil has plenty of options in that area of the pitch with Jack Stephens and Ben Pearson also looking to stake a claim.
Charlie Taylor, Benson Manuel and Ashley Barnes could all come in for Burnley, while Samuel Bastien could feature after recently coming back into the squad.

Burnley’s games this campaign tend to be full of goals at both ends and that isn’t likely to be any different in this clash.
They’ve picked up just five clean sheets in 15 away fixtures and could struggle to keep Bournemouth’s attacking options at bay.
