Erling Haaland has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water (or enter any of your own personal favourite cliches here) and having already taken home three match balls already this Premier League season, we take a look at the price that he does so again on Thursday night as Manchester City visit Chelsea…
Stamford Bridge is not the easiest place to bag a hat-trick and only three players have done so in the Premier League era. I’ll give you a couple of paragraphs to have a think to see if you can name them all.
Chelsea might not exactly be firing on all cylinders so far this campaign but they are conceding on average less than a goal a game in front of their own fans. In seven Premier League games at the Bridge, they have won four, drawn two and lost just the once, a 1-0 reversal at the hands of league leaders Arsenal. So think isn’t a game where Haaland can expect to get a multitude of chances in front of goal.
His previous hat-tricks for City have all come at the Etihad so expecting him to get his first away from home at such a tough place to play might be stretching things somewhat. Yet we all know many punters will be very interested in the prices.
