Leicester City will be hoping to get back to winning ways on Tuesday, as they welcome a Fulham side who sit seventh in the Premier League table to the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes were much-improved against Liverpool on Friday compared to Boxing Day, but still ended up losing 2-1 at Anfield despite Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s early goal.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are 13th in the table and still looking over their shoulders with three points the gap between themselves and the bottom three.

However, this promises to be another tough game – Fulham have been outstanding this season, defying expectations as they lie seventh in the table.

Marco Silva’s men got another three points in their last game, this time at home to Southampton.

Team news

For Leicester, Patson Daka went off in the first half of the Liverpool game holding his hamstring and is a doubt for this one, meaning Jamie Vardy could be restored to the starting XI.

James Maddison is still out with a knee issue and it is unknown when he will be back fit to play, while full-backs Ricardo Periera and James Justin are long-term absentees.

Fulham boss Silva has no fresh injury concerns heading up to the East Midlands and is likely not to tinker too much with his starting XI for Tuesday evening’s game.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is set to keep his place up top despite missing a penalty and will be flanked by Willian and Bobby Decordova-Reid.

This is a tough game to call with Leicester targeting this one for three points after a poor return from the World Cup break.

They were meek in their 3-0 loss to Newcastle United on Boxing Day and although they improved at Anfield, they still walked away with no points.

However, prior to the World Cup break, they were at least on a good run of form, having won five from eight matches.

Injury problems are not helping right now and the loss of Maddison could be key going forward with the playmaker easily their most creative player.

They may look to play on the counter against a Fulham side who are comfortable in possession and utilise Vardy as much as possible. The Cottagers’ defence has not been watertight and that may be where Leicester can extract a point from.

Aleksandar Mitrovic to score anytime @ 11/10

Mitrovic has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season and is the fourth-highest goalscorer, with only Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Ivan Toney ahead of him in the pecking order.

He has completely shattered the idea that he cannot score goals in the top-flight and has been the leading man for Fulham this season.

Leicester may need to watch out given he will be playing with a point to prove – he missed a penalty against Southampton and will be desperate to right that wrong.

His physical presence is likely to give the home defence a torrid time and he could be wheeling away in celebration at some point.
