Indianapolis Colts @ Minnesota Vikings, Sat 6pm UK-time, US Bank Stadium
A treat for us NFL fans, with some Saturday action this weekend as well as the usual fabulous stuff. A tea-time (for us) kick-off, and surely (famous last words) an outcome we can be reasonably confident about (there I go again).
The Vikings lead the NFC North by a street (10-and-3). Postseason beckons beautifully. The Colts however own a far from impressive record of 4-and-8 in the AFC South.
No glory beckoning this time around for them. Seems an age since those epic Colts/Pats battles at QB between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Ah well. Tempus fugit.
Minnesota were frankly awful last week against Detroit – a result we anticipated. One must take on trust that that was something of a blip, and the Lions were excellent, to be fair. The Colts have lost their last 3, and while Goff and company were a real challenge last week I’m finding it hard to believe Indy will prove as troublesome at US Bank.
Prices/lines – Vikings 1/2, Colts 13/8. Spread – Vikings -3.5 20/23, Colts +3.5 20/21. Total points – over 47.5 10/11, under 47.5 10/11.
This is one of those beauties that looks to good to be true so therefore can’t be – but I’m willing to take that chance. Come on Kirk Cousins. Come on Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen. Time to put those Colts to the sword!
Selections – Vikings -3.5 @ 20/23
Total points under 47.5 @ 10/11
