The PDC World Darts Championships are in full flow and we have daily tips for the tournament on site, as well as a full tournament preview. Today we have a tasty looking four-fold which is boosted to 11/1
PDC World Darts Day 5 Tips
- Niels Zonneveld to win – 8/15
- Geert Nentjes -1.5 hcp – 5/4
- Ritchie Edhouse -1.5 hcp – 5/4
- Beaton v Van Trijp – Over 3.5 sets – 2/5
The darts continues from Alexandra Palace and we’ve taken a look at the last afternoon game and three evening matches. We’ve also put together a nice little four-fold for you to cheer on.
Niels Zonneveld to win – 8/15
The last game of Monday’s afternoon session features Dutchman Niels Zonneveld (8/15) taking on Wales’ Lewy Williams (6/4).
The 24-year-old is one of the new wave of players from the Netherlands and reached the semi finals of the World Youth Championship back in 2020. ‘Zigzag’s best result this year was a 5th round finish at the UK Open.
Lewy Williams won his tour card back in 2021 but has had a tough couple of years on tour, with a 2nd round defeat here last year his best result.
I’m taking the 8/15 on Niels to win this one outright.
Geert Nentjes -1.5 hcp – 5/4
We’re siding with another Dutchman in the first evening game as Geert Nentjes (8/13) takes on American Leonard Gates (13/10).
Nentjes has had a tough few years on tour but won his card back at Q School in 2021 and registered his best result in reaching the 54th round of the UK Open this year.
His three dart average of over 92 on tour this year is impressive and should be enough to dethrone Gates.
The 52-year-old former baseball player is playing his first World Championships and might be out of his depth here.
Richie Edhouse -1.5 hcp – 5/4
World no 49 Ritchie Edhouse takes on Canadian David Cameron (not that one ) in the second game of the evening. The Englishman is a big 4/7 favourite, with Cameron out at 7/5.
This is the 53-year-olds first appearance at Ally Pally but he has been in numerous BDO/WDF Worlds and recently beat Phil Taylor in the first ever Senior Darts Masters.
That said, ‘Madhouse’ has reached the second round in his last two appearances here, losing to Gerwyn Price and James Wade. The 39-year-old should have enough to cover the handicap.
Beaton v Van Trijp – Over 3.5 sets – 2/5
Last up we have ‘The Bronzed Adonis’ Steve Beaton (4/9) taking on another Dutchman in Danny van Trijp (7/4).
This is the 58-year-old’s 22nd consecutive World Finals appearance and the 1996 Lakeside champion has reached the second round on all but six occasions.
However, van Trijp has bene performing excellently lately and I fancy this one to go to the latter stages with over 3.5 sets my selection.
