Martin Lewis is the latest in a series of special guest stars for the YouTubers as the Money Saving Expert has lent his voice to a remake of the famous Band Aid song, ‘Do they know it’s Christmas?’ that led the charts back in 1984 on the back of many famous voices including Bob Geldof, Midge Ure, Phil Collins, Bono, Boy George and Sting.
It is one of the most iconic songs of the era and was re-released in 1989 with a new set of guest artists including the likes of Jason Donovan, Cliff Richard, Sonia, Lisa Stansfield and Chris Rea.
Famous artists went to the well once more in 2004 with the likes of Justin Hawkins, Lemar, Katie Melua, Beverley Knight and Will Young all lending their support and voices to the project. The 2014 incarnation featured Olly Murs, Ellie Goulding, Paloma Faith and Zayn Malik amongst others.
So as you can see, this song has a place in UK Chart history and all four versions of the song have hit the top spot in the UK Singles Chart.
